Learning methods used in high school are student-centered. The teacher gives questions about learning related to the surrounding environment. Sometimes students don't respond, the teacher must repeat the question and give a little reward for brave students. If students answer correctly, the teacher will answer "absolutely right". The teacher provokes students to ask questions and from the questions, students can describe conclusions from the lesson.
2. Learning Material and Innovation
Providing innovation to students is adjusted to the curriculum and material in the book. The teacher forms a discussion group to answer questions by means of discussion. To attract attention, the teacher displays several slideshows from Powerpoint, pictures, videos and writes light explanations on the board so that students understand more easily.
3. Sources of Learning and Technology
The main source of learning is adapted to the K-12 curriculum. The school provides television to display images, videos or slideshows from Powerpoint. In addition, we can use the black and white whiteboard that is available.
4. Authentic Assessment
Authentic assessment used revolves around the ability of students to know the material previously taught. This authentic assessment to measure students' abilities and to measure the success of teaching teachers in delivering material. Based on my observations in class, the authentic observations that I used were worksheets, attitudes, quizzes, and assignments that were completed.
Teaching Plan
1. Curriculum
In this country, Philippines, the curriculum they use does not have core standards. They use learning objectives in the teaching plan. Learning objectives are based on curriculum guidelines. The learning procedure here is student-centered. In High School, PSAU is used K-12 Curriculum Guide Made by the Republic of the Philippines Department of Education Complex Department Education. The teaching plan provides details of learning resources, a variety of learning activities, and also assessment of learning.
