Pedagogical Contents and Teaching Plan

Pedagogical Contents

1. Teaching Methods
Learning methods used in high school are student-centered. The teacher gives questions about learning related to the surrounding environment. Sometimes students don't respond, the teacher must repeat the question and give a little reward for brave students. If students answer correctly, the teacher will answer "absolutely right". The teacher provokes students to ask questions and from the questions, students can describe conclusions from the lesson.

2. Learning Material and Innovation
Providing innovation to students is adjusted to the curriculum and material in the book. The teacher forms a discussion group to answer questions by means of discussion. To attract attention, the teacher displays several slideshows from Powerpoint, pictures, videos and writes light explanations on the board so that students understand more easily.

3. Sources of Learning and Technology
The main source of learning is adapted to the K-12 curriculum. The school provides television to display images, videos or slideshows from Powerpoint. In addition, we can use the black and white whiteboard that is available.

4. Authentic Assessment
Authentic assessment used revolves around the ability of students to know the material previously taught. This authentic assessment to measure students' abilities and to measure the success of teaching teachers in delivering material. Based on my observations in class, the authentic observations that I used were worksheets, attitudes, quizzes, and assignments that were completed.

Teaching Plan
1. Curriculum
In this country, Philippines, the curriculum they use does not have core standards. They use learning objectives in the teaching plan. Learning objectives are based on curriculum guidelines. The learning procedure here is student-centered. In High School, PSAU is used K-12 Curriculum Guide Made by the Republic of the Philippines Department of Education Complex Department Education. The teaching plan provides details of learning resources, a variety of learning activities, and also assessment of learning.

2.Teaching Plan

 III.            III. PROCEDURE
A.    Motivation
The students will find the probability of an events by simple sample
B.     Lesson Proper
Probability is the chance that some event will happen. With formula:
A.    Activity

Calculate the probability of each independent event.
1) P(red) =

3) P(not red) =
4) P(even) =

Calculate the probability of each independent event.
1) P(black) =
2) P(1) =
3) P(odd) =
4) P(prime) =
B.     Generalization
Probability is the chance that some event will happen. It is the ratio of the number of ways a certain event can occur to the number of possible outcomes.
C.    Evaluation
1.      List down the elements in the following events
a.       Rolling a die
b.      Getting number less than 2
c.       Getting multiples of two
d.      Getting even number
e.       Getting number less than 6

 III.            III. PROCEDURE
A.    Motivation
The students will find the probability of an events by simple sample
B.     Lesson Proper
1.      The probability of the compelement of A :
                                                   P(A') = 1- P(A)
2.      Independent and Dependent event
 3.      Conditional Probability

 C.    Activity
1.      When two 6-sided dice are rolled, there are 36 possible outcomes. Find the probability of the given event.
a.       The sum is not 10
b.      The sum is greater than or equal to 6
2.      One card is drawn from a deck of 52 cards. What is the probability that it is queen that is red?
D.    Generalization
Probability is the chance that some event will happen. It is the ratio of the number of ways a certain event can occur to the number of possible outcomes.
E.     Evaluation
1.      Find the probability of getting sum of 7 on the first toss of two dice and a sum of 4 on the second toss.
2.      Two cards are randomly selected from a standard deck of cards. What is the probability that the first card drawn is a heart and the second is not heart if:

Teaching Practice

  1. Procedures of Teaching           First, give apperception and motivation to students about the lessons that I will give so that they attract the attention of students to know more deeply. Then, raise questions so students are more active. They answered and were rewarded. Formed a discussion group and gave students the freedom to ask questions. After that, students can draw conclusions and the teacher takes the results of evaluations from quizzes or exercises. 2. Time Management and Organizing Activities This photo when I explain the general explanation           In 1 week, I have 8 hours to teach. Each meeting has 2 hours of teaching time. I took the first hour to give apperception, motivation and a general description of the material. The next 1 hour I give material that is in the slideshow and give time to students to ask questions and complete the exercise. The discussion process took place when I was displaying a powerpoint and I watched them have something about

Summary and Suggestion

1. Purpose of Practicum           At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to: Define events Types of events Find the probability of the events Define probability of compound events Difference probability of dependent and independent Define conditional probability 2. Procedures of Practicum           When we arrived at school, we attended the flag ceremony and there was a special welcome to us. Then, we meet the President of PSAU, the principal, teachers, staff and students. We are welcomed. Not to forget, we were introduced to our respective cooperating teachers. I will be accompanied by Mam Kreez.           Mam Kreez is a mathematics teacher. Mam Kreez is a very kind teacher. She led me to the class he was going to teach. Introducing me to students. Mam Kreez teaches at high school and university. For high school, he has 3 teaching days in a week, which is Monday in 11th grade STEM A, Wednesday in 11th grade STEM B and Friday in 11th grade STEM A and STEM B
